(A) Representative traces of AP (arterial pressure, red), electrical stimulation (green), HR (brown) and MAP (blue) from a separate cohort of hypertensive rats that underwent 5 min of one-time fDPN stimulation, which produces a prolonged depressor response up to 4 h. Arrowheads indicate the induced MAP levels compared with the baseline (black line) at 10 min (A), 2 h (B) and 4 h (C) after stimulation (arrow heads). The MAP depressor response is evident shortly after stimulation and persists up to 4 h.
